Ukraine and United Arab Emirates strengthen relations
The Ukraine has opened a consulate in Dubai responsible for providing consular services to six out of the country’s seven emirates. The consulate accepts visa, citizenship, legalization as well as document procurement applications.
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains under the coverage of the embassy of the Ukraine, established in 1994 in Abu Dhabi, which also covers the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar.
The opening of the consulate on 5 April, 2012 aims to further develop relations between the two countries. Currently, a number of agreements have been concluded between Ukraine and the UAE on economic, trade and technical cooperation, on the promotion and mutual protection of investments and on the avoidance of double taxation.
