Russia immigration bulletin: foreign worker forecasts now accepted until May 1
Earlier this year, Move One reported that the Russian authorities had opened a window for modifications and new submissions of forecasts for the number of foreign nationals who companies plan to employ in 2009. Further recent changes that will impact obtaining Russian work permits in 2009 and 2010 have been made.
Forecast for number of foreign nationals 2009
The Russian authorities have extended the time period for submitting modifications and new submissions until May 1 2009. The authorities will include these new additions to the quota allocation for 2009 from June 15 2009.
Forecast for number of foreign nationals 2010
It is also now possible to submit the foreign worker forecasts for 2010. Companies planing to employ foreign nationals in 2010 should submit applications by May 1, 2009. Submissions will be accepted on the Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Please note that companies who do not submit a forecast may face problems obtaining work permits for their workers in 2010 from the Russian authorities, or even be refused work permits altogether.
Move One Relocations would like to advise companies who are planing to employ CIS nationals to include them in the forecast submissions. This will enable companies to apply for work permits after the CIS work permit quota is closed.
