Russia Immigration Bulletin: Electronic system for inviation letters processing
The Visa and Invitation Department of the Federal Migration Service introduced, on 13 July, a new electronic system for companies that intend to invite foreigners to Russia, and therefore will have to prepare electronic applications, in order to optimize the procedure.
The system has not been fully implemented yet, but all companies who intend to invite over 20 foreigners per year should register with the authorities in order to obtain unique user name and password.
Documents submitted to the authorities in hard copy will take approximately 30 days to be processed by the authorities, regardless of the type of invitation letter required.
