Move One Brings Cheer to Orphans in Ethiopia

The smallest things count for children; caps on heads put smiles on faces

Move One is incredibly humbled to continue to support orphaned children and make a difference where we can.

Move One caps were donated to the Saint Yared Child Care Center Orphanage in Axum in Ethiopia on Tuesday, Feb 28, 2012. All of the children in the orphanage were given a Move One cap to “keep” and they were absolutely thrilled. Seeing the joy on their faces pictured below is the very reason why Move One continues to support where we can.

AXUM Africa is a Children’s Educational Aid Project set up to provide the best education possible for the students of Axum. AXUM Africa hopes to improve the quality and access to education for the children of Axum. They feel by providing an opportunity for these children to have a decent education, it will in turn give them the knowledge and resources to make a better life for themselves, their children and in turn, their community and country.

The Saint Yared Child Care Center (orphanage) was founded by the local church in 1976. Over 344 children from the age of five are currently cared for by the centre. AXUM Africa have already donated clothing, shoes and some school supplies, but hope to provide more assistance to this centre, including food, clothing, blankets, furniture, books, and sports and recreation equipment.

Move One hopes to provide more support to AXUM Africa and the Saint Yared Child Care Center Orphanage this year.
