Superbowl Baby!!
That’s right, it’s that time of the year again, where friends gather around to watch the big game together with loads of party food and brew!
Is it your first year in Budapest? Fear not Football fans, you can watch the game right here in Budapest… Live! If you aren’t into football, this year’s half-time show proves to be promising with The Who rockin’ out some rock classics as well as the hilarious commercials scheduled to air during the game. All in all, Superbowl Sunday is definitely a night of entertainment!

Planning your own Superbowl Party at home? It’s not a party without the legendary Mexican Layered Dip with Tortilla Chips (with so many variations available)!
Here’s my version;
Mix together 2 containers of Philadelphia cream cheese (250 gr total) with 1 cup of sour cream and spread on the bottom of a 9×13 in casserole.- Sprinkle some Taco Seasoning on top of the cream mix.
- Top that layer with Salsa
- Next layer, add finely shredded iceberg lettuce.
- Then top that with diced tomatoes and green peppers (or red ones, whatever you prefer)
- And the final layer, top with shredded cheese (Mexican blend available at Tesco) if not Trappista works just fine!
Don’t be afraid to add a layer of your choice, guacamole, delicious refried beans (available at Tesco), black olives, and/or cooked taco meat, possibilities are endless! Enjoy!
More Superbowl recipes can be found at the Food Network, on Epicurious, on iVillage ,on Allrecipes and at Pioneer Woman. For those watching their weight after the holiday season, some healthy versions of those Superbowl Sunday classics can be found at Eating Well.
Enjoy Game night!
