The current internet outage in Ethiopia is expected to continue throughout the protests which erupted shortly after the assassination of the country’s popular musician, Haacaaluu Hundeessaa. The government sanctioned internet blackout is anticipated to last through Friday, July 3rd. However, Move One continues to closely monitor the situation and will send further updates during this time of unrest. Unfortunately, our Ethiopia team will have limited access to forms of communication including emails, Skype, WhatsApp, etc. All operations within Ethiopia are still ongoing. We do anticipate some delays and challenges with customs clearance and airport processing due to the Ethiopian shutdown and protests.
