June 18, 2020 – During the current COVID-19 pandemic, the entire world is in dire need of the necessary medical supplies to help care for patients and protect doctors, nurses and other front-line workers. What does this have to do with Move One?
Move One is at the forefront of ensuring these medical supplies and protective equipment get transported timely and safely. Most recently, Move One is proud to have successfully assisted the World Health Organization (WHO) in the preparation, transportation and delivery of 85 tons of medical cargo from Erbil, Iraq to Northern Syria.
The local Northern Iraq operations team at Move One worked tirelessly and diligently to ensure the safe transportation of the temperature-controlled medical supplies from the WHO warehouse in Erbil to North Eastern Syria. The export customs clearance was processed through Erbil International Airport by the team in record time for a swift start. In partnership with a private airline, Move One coordinated 3 cargo flights that were loaded with medical aid as well as cholera vaccines and treatment. The transport of these 3 plane loads took 72 hours and were delivered safely into Damascus, Syria.
WHO representatives in Syria have confirmed the medical supplies will be distributed throughout many hospitals across the North-Eastern region of the country and will help thousands of people.
Move One continues to support the various humanitarian programs in the Middle East and especially Iraq by providing exceptional services under very difficult conditions. The local Move One offices work in conjunction with the Dubai based head office to provide professional, compliant, tailored logistics solutions, helping ensure our clients’ projects are delivered on time and on budget
