Ethiopia continues to be in a state of unrest after the unresolved murder of Haacaaluu Hundeessaa, the 34-year old popular singer from the southern region of Oromia. The country has reacted in an eruption of protests that have left several dead and many arrested. The government continues to blackout the country’s internet for a longer period as was original anticipated. The government sanctioned blackout may now be through to this weekend with rumors of the 11th of July being the final day.
Move One continues to closely monitor the situation and will send further updates during this time of unrest. All operations are still ongoing, but we do anticipate some delays and challenges with communication, customs clearance and airport processing during this challenging time.
