Move One at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York

    𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

This week, Move One had the privilege of attending the Clinton Global Initiative in New York

The discussions underscored 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. Organizations providing food aid, demining, emergency medical services, pandemic response, and other essential services are facing drastic cuts, and they expect more.

It was both enlightening and sobering to hear global political and organizational leaders discuss the scale of the challenges ahead. 𝗔𝗶𝗱, 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱, 𝘀𝗲𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀. While private organizations like the Gates Foundation , Buffett Foundation and World Central Kitchen are ramping up efforts, their contributions cannot fully replace prior the scale or scope of past government funding.

For more than 30 years, 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗲 has supported partners wherever possible, working to 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Many groups are making tough decisions with increasingly limited resources and we remain committed to helping get aid to those who need it most.
