Vaccines for Africa!

After our earlier post, here’s a closer video look at 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Move One is also preparing to test 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 across parts of Africa — a bold step to overcome the barriers that ground transport faces every day: poor or non-existent roads, floods, banditry, and equipment failures.

But with drones comes a new set of challenges:

• 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Many countries lack comprehensive drone laws, and approvals can be slow.

• 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Coordinating drones with crewed aircraft, especially near airports, requires care.

• 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Vaccines often need to move across borders, making permissions complex.

Despite these hurdles, we believe drones can transform vaccine access, reducing delivery times dramatically and reaching communities once considered “unreachable.”
